For those who love sports Sportsmen and athletes the world over may compete at the suggestive Maratona del Mugello, the most ancient marathon in Italy, a pathway throughout history and breathtaking landscapes, which is accessible also at an intermediate non-competitive level of 30 Km (4 Km for the families). Those who love running and foolhardiness can participate to the '5 alle 5', the 5-km race held in Lucca on September 5^th at 5.00 a.m. For those who love music Those who love music can go towards Florence, where David Gilmour shall perform on September 15^th and the popular Mika on the 30^th. Another pole of attraction is Prato, which will host Caparezza and Negrita, respectively on September 3^rd and 4^th. For those who love antiques The must, in this case, is the Biennale Internazionale dell’Antiquariato, which will be held in Florence from September 26^th. For those who love nature Those who love green cannot miss Verdemura, the traditional gardening fair held at Lucca’s Middle Age walls from September 4^th through 6^th. This year, the leading theme shall be potatoes, with samples from all over the world. For those who love arts All those who have a sensitive soul and refined taste can find something to sink their teeth of in Tuscany. The exhibition on Canova and the masters of marble is continuing in Carrara throughout the month. Up to September 27^th are the Uffizi  in Florence hosting the exhibition dedicated to Renaissance’s genius Piero di Cosimo. In Livorno, you can see the original exhibition 'Il pane e i pesci: storie di mare, di devozione e di cibo' (Loaves and fishes: stories of sea, devotion and food). For those who love food For the gourmets, Tuscany in September is the white truffle. The most famous tuber in the world is being celebrated in La Serra, close to San Miniato, by a monothematic festival. In the farms and in the organic agritourisms you can always experience the woofer; help harvest the grapes in exchange of board and lodging.
